1 Salvation the Basis for our Intercession

We need to know God first to fully understand His plan of Salvation for us and for the world. Knowing Him gives us the confidence to be part of His Kingdom rule. We have to be saved first and we need to be set free from sin. Through Salvation we enter into God's will for our lives and can become His disciples and ministers

Sin has to be dealt with first

There is no other way to get rid of sin but through the blood of Jesus - the only way is God's solution through Jesus Christ dying on the cross.

The problem of Sin and Judgment

Sin makes people slaves and its end is death and eternal judgment. God cannot tolerate sin but deals with it for through sin we lost our fellowship with God. Satan that rebelled against GOD tempted Adam and Eve and sin perverted our understanding of God. We were destined to follow their example but God made a way for us to escape through Salvation..

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

God, through the death of Christ made it possible for us to be restored in our fellowship with Him. When we accept His Gift of Salvation we are reborn by the Spirit of God. The life we know live is for God for we are not our own we have been bought with a price. We are new creatures. In this new life we need to be constantly renewed in heart and in mind throught the work of the Holy Spirit and we repent by turning away from our old way of life -living a new life

Repentance of sin

Sin cost Jesus everything and we do not take sin. We deal with sin never allowing it to fester and grow and take over our lives. We confess our sins and God is able to forgiveness from all our sins. Holy Spirit teaches us to get rid of all evil in our minds, hearts and lives so that we can become true witnesses of God

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

WIthout dealing of sin we have a very poor witness and we make the work of Jesus powerless. Because we can witness of the great work that God did in us when He saved us, we have confidence in the power of God to work in any circumstance and in the hearts of men. As Paul says the Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation - Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek

2 Knowing God

God the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are completely the same in character and person

Our faith walk always starts with WHO God is and what HE has done for us and what He does is based on His character. The Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are one and they look just the same. As Jesus said "if you've seen Me you have seen the Father".

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Father is not a stranger to us for Jesus came as the exact expression of Father and and taught us about Father. Giving us confidence to come to Father.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at any time;
the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him

Father and Son and Holy Spirit each one is completely God but also when you see one person you see the whole. You know Father loves you, you know Jesus loves you and you know Holy Spirit loves you completely and without measure

3 Intercessors Must know God's character

God is Love

1Jn 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Fearless living comes through knowing God's love. Intercessors need to live in God's Love!

1Jn 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect,
that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but
perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.

God is faithful

God does not change and have no character flaw or a shadow of deception

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good
Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

The Intercessor needs to know that his faith in God is a sure foundation. We need to walk in light and not in darkness; see God's will clearly and not be in confusion; We need to depend on the righteousness of God and not our own; Trust in His power and not our own. It is our responsibility to get to know Him for ourselves through the Word, prayer and the Word. He does not have to prove to us who He is - He has finished the work and had many witnesses

......More Character Attributes of God

GOD IS: God is faithful, God is compassionate, God is powerful, God is truth, God is Gracious and merciful. God's Goodness leads us to repentance, God will always warn, God is patient, God is All-powerful, God is Omnipresent, God is All-knowing, God has planned Good for us, God wants all the world to be saved, God want us to be obedient, God is a rewarder, God has done everything that is needed for us to be saved.

4 Called to be His Disciples

Living Newness of life

When we are born again we learn to walk with God. We get to know the Lord and need to communicate with God through prayer and worship and study of the Word. As we study the Word we also learn that we need the Holy Spirit to give us revelation and enable us to live a life well pleasing to God - we need the fruit that comes from the Holy Spirit

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Our lives becomes the training ground were each learn to walk in these fruit and God uses circumstance and discipline to train and test the strengthening of our faith. Then God challenges us to grow mature and be a light to the world, be the salt. We start helping others and assisting them with their walk in the Lord. Our walk is never just about ourselves

Serving God in ministry

God has given us a mission and given us the Holy Spirit to witness of Him and God also brings the Gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we my serve Him in a supernatural way. Those gifts are for equipping the saints and preparing them for ministry

Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Without exception this will always be the requirements that needs to be met - salvation always the first step. There is no other way by which man can be saved and any other answer but "GOD" to a situation is based on compromise and negations with human powers . We may do what Abraham did and think out our own plan but it is not the answer or solution and does not carry the approval of God.

Pro 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
